About the Position
Working within the headspace service model, the Senior Clinician will provide outreach to communities within the Katherine region, to deliver a coordinated, integrated and responsive service to young people in the greater Katherine region who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues along with providing support to their families. You will also provide leadership and support to the headspace Katherine clinical team to deliver effective, evidence based interventions to young people including providing clinical supervision whilst supporting the Clinical Manager and Centre Manager in the efficient delivery of clinical care, referrals management and enhancing relationships with private practitioners.
To be successful, you will have an approved tertiary qualification and minimum 5 years experience in a health related discipline along with registration with the relevant regulatory body such as AHPRA or membership of and adherence to professional standards, for example AASW for Social Workers. Postgraduate qualifications in evidence based therapeutic modalities ( i.e. CBT and ACT) is essential.
Please note: It is a requirement that prior to commencing in this role, you must possess an Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance), a Criminal History Check and a current Northern Territory manual driver’s licence. You must also be willing to undergo a National Child Protection Check prior to employment with Anglicare NT.
